how much for keyless entry?
i'm wondering how much would it cost to ask a dealer to install the keyless entry system in a civic dx-vp 2009. my dealer quotes me $600. is that too much? would it void the warranty? thx guys.
wow that is too much....my boy got it done for about 150 bucks...well thats the "i know a guy" price....but i work at a honda dealer i can ask for ya and i believe it doesnt void ur warranty because if u need warranty work done to the car...they would have to prove it was the keyless entry fault which is very unlikely....and real fast why did you buy a vp trim?
if its a honda part it wont void the warranty. if its aftermarket and it causes other issues, that is up to the dealer and district service manager on whether it voids your warranty or not.
Don't get suckered in, $150 is more than enough for a keyless entry. My friend recently installed a hands-free keyless entry system or "smart Keyless entery" on his car for $112. I am thinking about it too, it's pretty cool.

Which is not OEM honda and which was not installed at a dealership. While $600 sounds expensive find the dealer listed price for the part - I'd wager at least $200 and then toss in the labor to install. 400-600 would seem somewhat correct as a total...
