I just seen a new commercial on tv the other night, It started off like this.

Early 88-91 civic hatchback, lowered, gunmetal mf10 knockoffs, lip kit, exhaust, rolling down the road ( really nice car ) Shows a few seconds of video of some 12" fosgates pumpin in the rear hatch, then from out of no where a cop throws on its cherries, Pulls the civic over and gets out. Then the commercial goes on to say some **** about noise pollution, It shows the cop doing a DB test on this guys exhaust, Close up on the DB meter shows 92 db.

What a ****** bunch of bullshit. It is clear that they are targeting the import enthustiasts. They should have shown a commercial with a guy on a harley w/straightpipes or someone with an old muscle car, but no! they have to pick on the imports. This commercial is for a small town in northern Indiana where there is a very small import crowd. They are starting to crack down on the import revolution. This really pisses me off!!!!! Why did they have to make an example on public television of a Honda Civic, A nice one at that. why couldnt they make an example of a beat down riced out ford escort?

 

I think this is a prime example of how backwards the United States is, the old cars that have the highest emissions don't need a cat but the new cars that are low emissions do need one. makes no sense to me.

and about the sound thing, i have never heard of any import that is as loud as a diesel truck or any motorcycle or any domestic V8 with flowmasters.
