Default Presidential Detailed: 2002 Chevy 3500 HD- MY BIGGEST DETAIL YET!

I must say I was a bit nervous once I saw this thing coming down my street! I had never detailed anything of this size EVER! And it was my second truck since Ive started. I just had to come up with a game plan and go at it section by section, including climbing on top of the 37" tires and eventually I got it all done and it came out great! I think I got the best correction on this truck than I have on any other vehicle so far, it came out literally FLAWLESS! It helps that it was in excellent shape minus all the years of swirling/hazing that comes with a black vehicle that hasn't been up kept..ENJOY!

Yes Billy did a great job detailing my truck. It has never looked this good not even when i bought it new. I recommend anyone in central florida looking for a detailer to give Presidential Detailing a call. I drove almost 2 hours to get him my truck and it was definately worth it.

Are they real bad? I would suggest p21s wheel gel, but you have to be careful with any wheel cleaners so you dont stain the wheel.

p21s gel is awesome stuff, but it's so expensive that it's best left for super duper dirty wheels, and it helps if you are getting paid as well to use it on someone's wheels to help offset the cost haha...

i'll never use it on my own ****; i'd rather go the cheap route below and spend more time hehe...

but, if a return paying customer is back after a few months, and the wheels i previously cleaned completely through removal are dirty inside, to keep from having to remove them again i'll use the gel and brush.

m00n, i tend to use optimum powerclean in various strengths to clean wheels. if the wheel is relatively clean, i'll use a 3:1 mix and let it sit for a couple minutes then wash normally with my soap, water and 'dirty part' mitt. if the wheel is horrible, especially the inside, i'll use straight power clean and a product available on autogeek called the ez detail brush to allow the inner part of the wheel to be cleaned w/o removing it. this thing is freakin' awesome and was recommended to me by PD. previous to this brush, i'd remove the wheel. of course, the best bet, but not always practical, is to remove the wheel totally so you have complete access to the inside, this is especially effective when you have those black pebbles and grime stuck that require a nail and some elbow grease. but, many times the ez detail brush will get you the results you want.

after you clean them effectively, you can use a nice all in one product applied with a foam applicator to bring out some shine and seal at the same time. i use optimum poli-seal for this, however, you could use any off the shelf 'cleaner' wax for a similar type treatment.

PD, i saw this thread over on AG...really nice work dude. i also saw how long it took, and i'm sure that helped out a bit for your christmas bills ; )

Haha! Thanks everone! And yes P21s is great stuff but VERY expensive for what you get. Builthatch have you ever looked into Griots Garage Wheel Cleaner? You can get a gallon with spray for the same price as on little bottle of p21s!

I think im going to get some of that p21taw for cleanin the underside of my car...

i saw the supra you did with it and it looked brand new... just wondering your procedure for the underside/wheel wells? spray on, let sit, work in with some kind of brush, spray off? the suspension components were lookin minty, just wonderin how you got in there to clean all that as well as you did..

thanks for any help man

You got it! You may want to look into Meguairs APC+, you get A LOT more for your money and it does just as good or a better job than the p21taw. Then you will need to pick up some Meguairs Hyper Dressing to give it that brand new black look..

I use both of those products regularly (well just APC but same difference) and I highly recommend them.

APC is great because it can be dilluted to whatever you need, and can be used on wheels, wheel wells, engines, interior, etc. same with hyper dressing.
