Hey guys. My buddy had his tranny rebuilt and the retard rebuilding it left 2 spring rings on the syncro and the tranny locked up. So when we took it apart both springs were toast. I need one and honda only sells it with the gear assembly. It is a f22 tranny and its the 4th gear syncro spring ring.

64mm inside diameter and 1.4mm in hieght and 1.2mm thick.

Use one of the OEM parts sites from some of the FAQ's. I got new sets of springs and rings without the whole gear set, and it was cheaper from the states than our Canadian stealerships, including shipping across the border.

 

honda does not sell the spring seperate. its only sold as the whole gear set for 310us. which he just bought.

 

why would your friend have to purchase a new gear set for a mistake that he did not make?

i would make the "retard" fix it...assuming that he did something wrong

 

My buddy is over seas in afganstain, im fixing the car. I dont want this ****in guy touching the trany. the trany was so dirty i got sick, he did not change the bearings and ill leave it at that. My buddy brought this car to 2 so called mechanics to fix his car and they ripped him off and hacked it up. Im fixing it as a big favour and sort of a suprise when he gets back. He put over 1000us in parts in the trany and so forth. So i bought all new bearings and seals and i need to get a new 4th gear syncro spring. Other wise im stuck buying a whole syncro set from gear speed or buying another 4th gear. the car has new 2nd 3rd and 4th gear and 3rd to 4th shift sleeve.

So if anyone has a old one thats in good shape and can help me out i will pay them for it. thanks alot guys.

 

Call Gearspeed and see if they have one that can be sold out of set. I'll see if I have any, but I'm pretty sure most of the ones I have are bad or not the size you need.
