I need help with the timing of my Civic I have a 89 and it has a ZC bottom end but it has a b16 head as far as i was told. I have the haynes tm but it will not start now it has a new starter and battery.

 

The ZC comes in single and dual cam. The single is equivalant to a D15B with multiport fuel injection and the dual cam is the equivalant to a D16A1. So who ever told you it was a ZC with a B16 head either didn't know what they were talking about or lied to you. Check you ECU make sure it is getting power. It should blink once when you key it up and blink the codes. Start with that.

 

ok the ecu is the computer on the passenger floor and yes mine does blink and it blink 6 times which was a cooling code from what my manuel says
