2. piece mounted to seat
3. piece mounted to apillar
idea for bottom, iw as htinking about getting some type of soft material and using 3mm to stick on the part that actually hits the seat....

hehe ... the solution might be worse than the problem.
It's a wear item.

Or if your really worried about it, throw in some new seats...

If you're worried about the parts on the seats where the seat belts are against it, maybe u should also be worried about the the seat itself. I mean, u get in and out as often as you put on a seatbelt.
Maybe you should plasticwarp the whole seat?

why don't you just tilt your seat rest back further than the point of contact with seatbelt/seat...
that would certainly work (it does for me) unless you're very short, or don't feel comfortable reclined much.
EDIT: if you REALLY want to prevent it, do what a lot of domestic cars do and have a plastic guard that holds the belt in place...take the seats to a good upholstery (sp?) shop and have them tap into the seat frame, have a good gaurd that will guide the seat belt over the seat without ever touching. I might have this done. It's not too expensive.....just requires some SLIGHT welding/fabrication.

Put back your factory Type R seats for daily use. JDM Recaro's for those weekend occasions??
You can tilt your seat back?
Use cheap seatbelt pads to reduce the wear.
Seatbelt harness is a good option?
Just buy some GSR seats for beatup use?
Taking it to the shop is just an incovienence and a hassle so they could charge you up the 455.

Put plastic on the seat. Put plastic on the seat belt, steering wheel, shifter, e brake, over the floor mats... and don't stop there! Put protective plastic on everything, like cars sitting on a dealer's lot.

Engineers like to use baffles, deflectors and the like. Your ideas sounds good just a matter of applying them.
Theory is good
trial and error is better

I'm a Mechanical Engineer, but have no real advice for you, just use belt pads or something if you're that concerned, or sell the seats for cheap to me

I use some cheap seatbelt pads i got at Target. They're blank black pads and you can't tell they're even there because they aren't fat like the rice boy ones and almost look like part of the seatbelt.
This is OT, but.....

I to am a mechanical engineer and would say dont worry about it, but you must clean your seat often since dirty in those high traffic areas will cause more wear and tear than just normal contact would. Also the idea about having a shop weld/tap on a bracket to hold the seatbelt over the shoulder of th eseat will work also, but would look nasty unless you shelled out mad loot or had a great machinist/engineer/designer as a buddy.
might be time for harnesses!~
