Doing some swaping! need some help!
Ok well im helping my friend do a mini-me swap.
i was wondering if you guys could help.
Specs:
1990 Civic Dx.
Carburetor d15b(not JDM?) No Vtec.
I have a 92 spec D15b Vtec and we want to put my d15b head on his block thus creating a mini-me.
but i have a obd-1 and hes is obviously obd-0. Im giving him:
head
Intake mannie
throttle body
Sensors
Distributor
Injectors
Fuel rail
i was thinking on doing plug swaps on the dizzy and getting a obd-0 vtec single cam ecu.
also what kind of things do we get like:
head gasket
headstuds(can we reuse? car never over heated)
Oil
coolant
ect.
Help Us out!

Well considering the dx is 2 injectors (duak point FI) instead of 4 injectors (mpfi) you will have to run 4 extra wires from the ecu to control the extra injectors.
Honestly if you have an obd1 ecu and dizzy already...spend the extra 150 bucks and do it this way http://www.j-k-tuning.com/obd0-dpfi-...ess-p-306.html
Order that so you don't have to guess at the wiring or hack up the existing harness in the car. This allows you to run a p28 which is more readily available then a vtec obd0 ecu..
Doing a mini me swap you will need to get different headstuds. First of all you really want to avoid using stock headstuds as they are TTY( Torque to Yield) which means they can stretch even if the car hasnt overheated.

Ok So can what kind of things do i get.
Like timming belt, head studs, and Head gasket?
So just wire pins and get the rywire things?
and this swap can be done?
