How come I cant get tire scracth anymore?
Well when I first bought my crx about 4 months ago.....I was able to get 2nd gear scratch easily.....(ill never forget the first time I did it pulling outta the dealers lot) Well for about a month I could get it anytime I wanted.......
Then I started modding my car.....short ram intake....now I have a CAI.....eventually overtime I got a header, high flow cat, and a DC sports cat back exhaust......
And Ill be damned to hell I cannot get scratch in my car anymore....not like its a bad thing......but ive seen hf's get scratch....and I cant...I can barely even do a burnout.....this is with a brand new clutch as well...
Now im not trying to find a way how to get tire scratch......but why do you think I cant anymore...
Bad tires??? loose suspension(old and flimsy) long shift throw....becuase my shifter bearings are very krappy....and flimsy and my shift is very long and not tight at all???

get you a b-series motor and a 6 puck and you can accidently chirp the tires going into 4th. But why do you want it anyway, all it does is bring your times down.
i would say u didnt break in your clutch right and now it is already warped and slipping. if u know how to u can still get it to peel out if u know how to work the clutch right. u never know with the mods that u have u may have lost some torque and that could also be keeping u from peeling out. also its not called tire scratch but tire screech or squeel
No I just think my tires suck....lol they are kinda bald...I fig. they arent grabbing at all...and even though this would make SCRATCH easier....somtimes....you cant get very good traction....
because I can do a burnout....but I just dont get a sound its like this....drive to redline....shift hard and fast...drop the clutch...and I get a nice shake from the dash...(oohh bad motor mounts) and my car jumps but I just cant get a nice solid chirp.....
I may have beat the clutch up a lil for how early it is....but I gave it a solid 500 mile grace period...and its not slipping at all......???
Hmm I have also stripped everything outta my car but the dash, door panels, and driver seat......
I think....lowering it....better tires....and a short shifter might help....or a new engine...lol which is planned here in a week anyways so oh well...

well assuming that your tires dont have dry rot, bald tires actually grip dry asphalt better given their higher contact patch over treaded ones... also like was mentioned before check your pressure as they might be a little low (notice any extra squealing around corners lately?)
Also lowering your car and upgrading the shocks will decrease weight transfer when shifting/launching so that will actually prevent the chirp...
also you mentioned that you've lightened the car.... therefore you have less weight that the engine is trying to overcome so you might be hooking up better when shifting (aka.. the tires arent trying to drag a heavy azz car around)

Well you said something about bad mounts, they've become the slop in the drivetrain. The power that went to ruining tires for no reason, is now getting absorbed when the engine swings back and forth. That is until the mounts fail completely and the engine tries to fall out.
So you dont race your car hard???
Thats all im doing.....
The reason I posted was more less to find out why I cant anymore like where the problem areas were so that I can fix them.....because obvouisly somthings wrong....
