idling then dying question

Default idling then dying question

so its been cold here in lately and when i start my car it starts up then dies. i have to hold it revving then put into gear etc and drive then it wont happen.

it only happens when its cold. any ideas?

How cold is it? There can be many things going on! That why people up north and on the east coast use heater blanks for there cars gas tanks and oil pans. If your Engine Temp. Sensor tells your engine that it's to cold, and your O2 Sensor is reading a low temp. They will send a reading that will tell the fuel pump to stop sending fuel...It's only to protect your car...That's how the car brain fuctions!

yeah it has been cold. it was like below 28 degrees. some days reaching into the teens

But also if it continues to happen...I would look in to the ETS = Engine Temprature Sensor, these tend to go bad on honda's but my guess it's the weather because it is winter time.

agreed. im experiencing the same problem. im tuned with crome from summer, i dont think im getting enough fuel. > winter tune.
