My Ongoing DC Boost Project Coming to an End
So to make a long story short I have owned this Integra for 6 years and am finally going to be finishing up my boost project in a week or two. I gathered motor parts for about 3 years and finally built/installed the motor last summer. I have now finished gathering turbo parts and am in the process of installing them. It started when I was in high school and went into college so needless to say I didn't have a lot of money (hence the 4 year build span) but still wanted to do it right. Here's some photo's to hold you over until tomorrow:

Motor specs:
JG turbo cams/adjustable cam gears
Ported & polished
Over sized intake valves
JG springs/retainers
bored out 81.5mm
probe pistons/rods
9.0:1 compression

I'll be back tomorrow to post more plus the actual turbo "kit" going on, enjoy.

Thanks I have a few more things coming in the mail including a basemap and OBDII to OBDI harness on the way and that should be about it...
Can you elaborate on this, apparently something I don't know??
I was originally going to go with Jeff Evans but theres a local guy about 15 min north of me who tunes, John Kerr/JK tuning. I've heard good things about his jobs and a lot of my friends know him personally. I'm just going to go with Uberdata as far as management. I wanted to go with Hondata but to be honest I just want to enjoy my time/work/money that's gone into this thing and I'll upgrade later if I want...

At about this time I lost my digi camera so I took a bunch of cell phone pics so sorry for the crappy pics...

I'm going to finish soldering up the "new" clips tomorrow and hopefully I'll be back with updates... I know I haven't posted much yet but if anyone has any comments or suggestions let me know since this is my first motor build/turbo build.

Such a long on going build and you stayed LS? LS's are capable of good power but why not go LSV?
JG has screwed so many people, its crazy he's doors are still open for business. You can search his name and see the horror stories.

My head was one of the first things I started working on and ls heads are so much cheaper to find so I ended up just sticking with what I had... I'll have to look up some of those horror stories hopefully I'm not in for a surprise.
yeah, Uberdata still exist.....tune into PGMFI. about your piston/rod selection(Probe) please give us feedback good or bad on them. I had probe pistons years ago, and could only find negative stuff about them at the time so I sold them. I think there's a thread that a guy with a H22 broke 1 with 325HP or something like that. it scared me enough to go elsewhere.

Here's a pic of part of the downpipe we were warming it before welding. We ended up warping the turbo flange from the heat so my buddy's machining it flat right now so I've been working on other stuff... By the way I'm keeping my a/c (i know i know)... So we're working around that and my compressor/cold side will be on the tranny side of the motor. The reason I'm keeping a/c is because the teg is my only car and I don't want to be sweating if I have a job interview, females love a/c, etc....

Mock fitting of the turbo/manifold, waiting on some gaskets.

My old sex-monster, I miss this thing:

It's been tough but it'll pay off. Here's a small update from today, injector clips on and ecu socketed. A few more pics of my intercooler (not permanently mounted yet) and charge pipping.

I'm going to order a 1" diameter aluminum shaft, cut it up, drill holes, tap them, then have the pieces welded to the top of my intercooler to mount it with bolts.

dude, chris, seriously, dont run your oil feed line down through the turbo manifold like that!! i learned what happens the hard way when that line lays against the manifold, its burns a hole through it and you get oil everywhere! not good!!!! that happened in my old crx. please save yourself from the headache and change it!!!!!
oh yeah, nice job so far! lol. and let me know about the probes as well cuz i have probe pistons layin in my room that im unsure about using...

Project looks like it's coming together.
I'm glad you'll be coming to see us hopefully soon!
I DO recommend the Neptune software over Uberdata, though. It is leaps and bounds over the capabilities of Uberdata, and is only marginally more expensive.

Thanks andy that's good info and kind of why I have this thread too since it's my first build I want input from other people that have experience good or bad haha. My oil feed line is already proving to be too short I can't even rout it around my head so for now it's just going up over and I'll buy some fittings to get it around that manifold...
Derek I'll be giving you guys a call on monday to set up an appointment, I'm hoping to have this project finished up within the next week so tune is next. Also, do you have any good sources/info I can read up on neptune?? I'll probably just google it for now. Thanks
I got some goodies in the mail today and picked up my rear type r seats the other day I'll post some pics later.

As far as information on Neptune goes, visit http://www.hrtuning.com
That website lists all the features the Neptune license has to offer.

OP, i have a few of old oil feed lines and fittings just sitting around my garage. if you want, i can whip up something that might work for you. when i had that type of mani, i used to take my oil from the head, just below the dizzy, use a 24" line, and put a 90 degree fitting on the turbo. fit's in between the mani and turbo horizontally.
I too did the A/C setup with that same manifold.. it becomes a pain in the *** after making revisions to the setup and trying to work in such a tight area. I just recently decided to toss the blox manifold and went with a new tubular manifold and backdoor intercooler setup.

sorry to thread jack there chris...
i can get some pics up in a few days. the car is in wash, and I'm in Denver right now for the holidays. it's worked fine for the last 10 k miles.
