Default 90k on a 98 F23 5spd

I'm trying to find the transmission for my swap. Looking for a 98 Accord 5spd tranny. I have found a few with 90,000 miles on them for about $250. I'm not sure of the reliability on the Accord 5spds trannies.

Is 90k for this transmission a lot? I can't find many others with lower mileage, so I'm trying to find a deal.

my 5 speed has 140k and its an 01 ... for a 98 90k is not bad at all ... but like everything else it depends on if it was abused or not ... its a risk we all take when buying used items ... personally i would go for it

Thats the way I looked at it. There is also a 98 tranny with 75k on it. Thats going for $400. I just have to decide whether that extra 15k/$150 is worth it.

Some knowledge in how to rebuild a transmission would be required in order to do that. Wanna teach me?

i would take it to a reputable honda reman shop..

before you install it put in all new wearable parts, that way you don't have to mess with it for 100K+ miles
