Default port and polished head

if i build the head and leave the block stock will it cause any problems to it if i ad cams ???

you should be ok just don't go crazy on the cams

Stock block with cams are fine, just be careful of P2V clearance. I run Skunk2Stage2 with factory overbore pistons.

what do you mean p2v?? also im planning to give the shop that i et my parts a ls vtec engine to get the head port and polished.. do you guys think the lsvtec can give me enough store credit the head build??

i should be fine tho right?? like the one guy at the top said aslong as i get a good tune i should be ok?? also just to add on this car is not a d.d. it sees the streets maybe 3 times a month.

Yes running s2s2's will be fine on a stock block, cant forget about JUN I've always liked thier cams

what about the cam gears?? who makes the best known cam gears.

you have lots of options. you can go with aem, jun, skunk2, or find some used ITR cam gears.

i know alot of people have the air and fuel guauge is that something that i would need also i have to get afc since this is like the 1st time ill do any major performance on my car besides having headers and intake..

eh stage2's do better with higher compression so i don't think you'd be making the power you're expecting.
and for cam gears just stick to the company that made the cams your using i.e. Jun camshafts w/ jum cam gears.

you mean to have my block build it will give me high compression right?? and are the stage 2 cams to agressive or what?? by the way as long as the block wont get damaged if i do a port and polished head then i should be ok like i said the car wont be my d.d. and i dont have money to build the block and head at the same time, thats why i wanna build the head 1st.. also i plan on trading in a ls v for store credit and get the head work done like that and maybe like 2 months later i can build the block

Im sure someone with alot more knowledge than we do can chime in and explain exactly why you would see more results with more compression when using the s2s2 cams That can be a discussion in its own
