So i have a sohc zc bottom end and a z6 head intake mani with injector laying in my garage And im planning on a build i got the bottom end from the junkyard its in pretty good shape and same with the head it needs to be sent out. But my question is i want to go turbo this is what i got what kind of internals are recommended for doing so? Are the stock zc piston to high of compression or could i just use those? For the head should i use that head? would it work (dumb q i know) or should i just use an a6 from my motor already? I just want a reliable quick night and weekend car! Money is not really a problem and this is going in a 90 civic hatch?? Oh and i dont really want to go b-series yet want to stick to what i have around? Thanks to any input sorry for the noob Q Oh yeah what kind of turbo manifold and turbo anything else im forgeting this is my first turbo build

you should deff. go to the forced induction forum. they are very helpfull with all kinds of link that you will want to look at.

 

Stock pistons can withstand about 200hp or so, then the ringlands become an isssue. Next weakest link is the rods.
FJT sells piston rod combo for a low buck set uo that have made upwards of 400hp.
Turbo manifold - stay away from ebay junk. Cast are nice, or custom ones are nice but are more costly.
The Z6 head is what Im running now.
