Default I sound like a NOOB, sorry...

alright im gonna do a mini-me, 90 ef sedan with a d16a6 complete swap already in it. its OBD-0 four-point PGM-FI and i want to put on an OBD-1 MPFI d16z6...

im buying the head and it will have the intake mani/fuel rail attached, i'll have to get an obd1 vtec dizzy i know that.

only question is, other than the obd0-obd1 ecu conversion harness, do i need to do anything else? or should the obd0 wireharness match up with all the connectors on the obd1 head?

all help is appreciated,
thanks

Injectors, injector clips, and a 4-wire O2 sensor come to mind.
As I remember, there is one sensor near the distributor that you need to extend wires for and then the air temp valvel gets relocated (or is that only on the Y8?)

its a direct wiring swap.put your stock wiring harness on the new motor, and the jumper harness wires will go to the 4 wire o2 sensor, vtec sol, pressure switch, and ground.you will need to swap the pins from your dizzy plug.all the wire are the same colors.you could just cut and splice, but it only take a minute to figure out how to remove the pins properly.

can i use the same injectors? the guy im getting it from said that it has everything except the dizzy. He said the fuel rail is there also but i didnt ask about injectors. i'll be getting everything for $100 so either way i cant go wrong.

ok onto wiring, i know the conversion harness has 4 wires that are separated from the main wiring, like u said they are for the 4-wire o2. question is, on the o2 sensor, where do the OTHER 3 wires connect to? that sounds like a dumb question and ill probably realize where once i get everything in my hands but i'de like a heads up.

lastly, "swap the pins from your dizzy plug". is this a way of avoiding buying an obd1 dizzy or do i need to do this even WITH the new dizzy? and do i take pins out of the wire harness side or dizzy side?

your jumper harness will have a paper that labels everything.the four wires are two heaters, one signal, and one ground.and yes you can use your stock injectors.if you do use high impedance injectors(92-00)you will need to remove the resistor box and splice all five wires together.you have to run an obd1 or obd2 dizzy.the plugs wont be the same, but the wires are the same color(or similar enough to figure out).pull the pins out of the dizzy plugs.unless you have an obd1 engine wiring harness to use the dizzy plug.

ok im going to use the injectors are are on my a6 right now just to avoid having to remove anything else so thats fine. ill just put the a6 injectors on the z6 fuel rail.

i need to use an obd1 or 2 dizzy regardless of the fuel injectors right? or would it just be for the high impedance injectors?

then the dizzy plugs ill figure out when the time comes. would i need to get an obd1 vtec starter? i've heard that before.

This is what I used, you also need an obd1 ECU.
