Default Best to clean dirty OEM calibers?

My car is a 00 Si. The car is mostly all stock. The brake calibers are filthy. Probably never been really cleaned in the life of the car. What is the best product to remove all dirt and stuff on the calibers? I am not interested in painting the calibers...

Thanks

Pick your favorite degreaser and use it on your caliPers. I use purple power which is very aggressive and you do NOT want to get it on your paint. I dont know if your calipers are painted, but if they are, use something else like simple green diluted. Some agitation will most likely be needed for this, so I use my sisters if she pisses me off (joking, only toilet water one time when I was 8). Several attempts may be needed, but if you have wheels that show them, it will make your car look a lot better as I'm sure you know.

By the way, I am a motorcycle guy and have lots of cleaning stuff for them, and s100 cleaner works great and is actually for paint. I can get it at most motorcycle shops easily and the sponge that comes in the kit is awesome for scrubbing bug spots. I like it for degreasing around good paint. It is a good safe degreaser that should work well as long as you dont have raw aluminum around because this may slightly etch it just a bit. For this case, SHOUT laundry detergent is my choice.

Thanks for the help. My brake calipers have that silverish finish from Honda. 100% OEM calipers. Not modified at all.

No problem. If they are painted then try a few different things. I actually use purple power on my painted OEM silver/gray wheels without a problem, I have seen no side effects from it. I just dont let it sit long and keep it away from the actual good paint on the body itself.

Try Mean Green degreaser from dollar general or walmart. works good and is a few bucks for a small spray bottle.

I used a couple cans of brakleen and a green scotchbrite pad -- worked alright.

I just use a small amout of simple green and a brush. Contact cleaner works good on brake parts as well.
