carbon hood replacement. Need direct bolt on
Hi,
I'm looking to replace my old dented hood with a carbon one. Do any of you have any experience with the different brands?
Like I would like to know if the holes for the windshield washers are their, and if I will need hood pins and such, any type of modifications that might be needed etc.
Thanks.

All i gotta say is don't go with one of those no name brand hoods off ebay, stick to a trusted brand like VIS/Seibon. The one I got on ebay said "grade A" but it had yellowing all around the edges. It was brand new but looked like it had sun fading. Other than that the fitment was great. It's up to you if you want to use hoodpins and definately not a requirement as you should be able to transfer the latch from your OEM hood. I would personally advise against pins...but that's just me.
Oops, I meant carbon fiber, I want to know if the holes for the windshield washer nozzle is their. I use those allot to remove the ice on my window.
It will be sa seibon from wek^sos.
thanks

I have a VIS CF ZC style hood. I love it and fitment is awsome. The washer holes are there on mine but they are a little bit smaller than the ones in my oem hood, in order for me to make them fit I would have to drill them out a little bigger but I opted not to do that because I have the fear of spider-cracks in my hood

Don't get pins, if you do buy something from ebay it make sure the seller is a dealer/store, and make sure they have 100% good feedback. I bought a CF hood for my Camaro off ebay and it's better material than seibon. I don't know about the washer holes cause my camaro has them in the cowl. I would say before you run out and buy one just look around and make sure that you get a good product in your price range, and make sure you'll be happy with it two weeks after you get it or you'll hate yourself later. And if you can afford it go to Meineke or Pep Boys and get it couted with their road guard plastic coating thing, you wont even see it but it will keep your hood from cracking if a rock hits it or something from being kicked up from the street.
Damn right Vis quality has gone bad! My expensive Vis Racing "carbonfiber" USDM SiR hood cracked/separated up front! Stay away from them! Seibon seems to have better quality.
