Car won't start
I had a stock a6 engine get rebuilt so i could switch it with the blown motor i originally had in the crx, After the new engine was in and ready to go, the next step was turning it over. But right before you turn the key to start the ignition, the check engine light should come on and stay solid, and after you start the car it comes off. But, at the stage when it should be solid it blinks rapidly. I've never seen or heard anything like it. The pm6 is doing the same thing, the red light is rapidly blinking. I searched but the only thing i couldfind was rapidly blinking engine light on a 98 civic meant that there is a major problem and the car shouldn't be driven. The distributor is getting power so that's not it. and i changed the main relay.
Could it be the grounds? i'll have to double check them. The car turns over but will NOT start.
Its a 91 crx si.

make sure that the ground wire coming out of th engine harness is connected at the thermostat housing - the normal condition - when you turn the ignition on, the CEL should come on for 2 seconds and then it goes off whether you have started the engine or not
hm... check to see if you have a corroded/shorted, black&white wire from the ignition, i had to replace mine, real easy fix... that probably is not the problem but might me... i threw a check engine light the same way and it went away when i used a manual start on the starter... that wire was chafed and corroded somewhere in the firewall, i yanked it out and ran a new one.
