Default Need Your opinions on set-up..

Hi everyone,

Since this is my first ever post, I'd like to ask for your opinions on the following set up. I'd also like to bring to your attention that I intend to have this setup on 2006 Civic Si for racing purposes.

Thanks in advance and Happy Racing..

Mugan rear wing
Exedy Stage 2 Race Clutch
Exedy Lightweight Race Flywheel
ROTO Black lightweight race wheels
WILWOOD big brake kit on front
Hawk race pads
K-Sport Adjustable coilovers
Rear Race Sway 25mm sway bar
Brake Master Cylinder

hawk makes good pads. Why use the mugen bits? what kind of racing do you intend to do? If you just plan on auto-x might as well leave it stock other than the brakes/suspension work. Have you ever raced before? little more info plz.

What type of racing do you plan to do?

Are you going to leave the the stock catback?

In your original list you didn't list tires.

My suggestion:

i/h/e of your choice
Hondata IMG
HFP suspension kit
Progress 22mm rear sway
hawk pads w/stock rotors
(light weight wheels of you choice; no bigger than 17" of course)
Falken azenis rt615's (225/45-r17)
DOT4 brake fluid
[gearbox choices are good]

Thanks for the replies guys.
I'll go ahead and answer all Q's at once.

McBitchin: I'll be doing circuit racing and taking part in a 2.0L series. The Mugen bits are already fitted on the car. I still haven't made up my mind with wheels and tires, but I might go with 15" Enkie or Vulk.

K5: I'll be running a through pipe instead on stock catback.

I was under the impression a 15" wheel would not work on our cars, might want to go atleast 17's especially if you want to fit bigger brakes on there.

Everything looks ok to me except you don't need a Stage 2 clutch unless your going forced injection. The stage 1 is good up to 205 ftpd of torque. You will be well below that with he set-up you list below. Why make it any more difficult to drive then you need too?

agreed. the exedy stage 2 was too much clutch for my turbo'd gsr; it's definitely WAY too much clutch for bolt-ons on an si.

The maximum I can go according to rules and regs is 16", but I wanna make sure before buying the car. How would the 16's differ in performance assuming I'm having them fitted with Toyo 888..??
