Default 4th gen prelude power programmer

okay I've looked and looked and Im pretty sure that there's no programmer chip or anything like that for the prelude 92-96 model. I've heard that the only thing to do is get a different ECU. so my question is is there anything like a programmer or something like that, that can give me a good amount of hp? and if i have to get a different ECU what kind to get? i don't really wanna spend more than $350. my car has a few power adders but nothing like turbo or nos. so please help me out, i wanna get something that will give me hp up 100 if not more. thanks.

What you want to spend, and what it is actually going to cost are two different things in this case. To get you started at least, read this: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-prelude-4/definitive-prelude-ecu-choice-hondata-info-post-567799/

you can't add just cams and expect to make much power; you at least need an upgraded valvetrain to go with it and a tune. NOS is the easiest way to large amounts of power if that's what you want.

nos when done right does not have to mean disaster or a melted engine. people usually just get a little too happy with the juice and decide to go beyond what is recommended for their setup.

sorry to say, but $400 will not get you real far in the hp game. most people will tell you (myself included) your money is best spent on good maintenance right now. take care of your car and it will take care of you. one of the biggest performance (and fun) adders in my opinion is a good set of tires.

how is boost easy power? it cost me more just to sleeve my block then the parts u listed, not knocking n/a i also have an h23vtec im building but boost is not just an easy power adder there alot more involved then slaping on a turbo and saying its easy power, to the op 400 is not going to get you much if any power there is no power programer for hondas and getting hondata or any other ems will do u no power worth the money without major upgrades just save some cash and buy parts here and there till you have what u want and build the motor

What transmission do you have that is redlining 5th gear too quickly? That would be around 135-140mph for a stock tranny. I doubt you have a car running 140mph traps in the quarter mile if you're asking about a chip that adds 100hp.

he has an h23 so he's redlining 5th at 127. but i doubt he'd hit even that in the quarter.

Really? I run an h23 tranny and I do about 120 (about 130 on the stock speedo) topping out 4th.
