H22 PSP Ground
Hey. My buddy has a 95 jdm H22 in a 91 Accord. He had intermittent trouble
starting his car. Some days it wouldn't even kick over. He found a melted wire on part
of the engine ground. It was the wire connecting the power steering pump to the ground
at middle of the valve cover on the driver's side. In the Honda manual (not chilton's or
helm's) but Honda's it's page 23-13. The wire in question is T5 and is connected to T4 and
G2. He has replaced the wire and cleaned the ground contacts. Since then he has swapped
the cap and rotor.
Any ideas why this wire would have melted? It seems to do nothing. The bracket it is connected to is plastic and is attached to the pwr steer pump (PSP).
Thanks!
