why can't you register it?

 

the original canadian owner was not suppose to sell this car in the states. if a canadian owner drives a car here with intention to sell it, they must get a form # 7501 from u.s.customs at the border. THen i would be allowed to register it. Now since im not the registered canadian owner, customs wont give me that form, there fore DMV wont register the car. its soooo stupid im so pissed about this situation. its sad to see a nice car go to waste. even if i swap the parts over to a shell, it just wont be the same tight feeling a nice stock car has. =(

i would keep it if i could register it. customs said is still could be done if i do a "bond" and get a IRs tax number. Beats me on what that means. =(

ive bought several cars from different states that had non repairable titles, or parts only, or certificate of destruction, did a lien sale on them, once the pink slip came from sacramento it became clean title
