Clean JDM EJ8, 98 Civic Ex
1998 Honda Civic EX Coupe with 135K miles! Has stock D16Y8 1.6L 4-cylinder engine and 5-speed manual transmission. Timing belt was changed at 85,000 miles and the only engine modifications are the addition of an AEM cold air intake w/ K&N air filter, B & M adjustable fuel pressure regulator w/gauge, and a powder coated red HONDA valve cover. Oil has been changed every 2,000 miles (Royal purple full synthetic and K&N oil filters). Tranny was serviced about 4 months ago with installation of a new B & M short shifter, ACT stage 2 clutch, Exedy flywheel, throw out bearing,seals, and all transmission bearings.
Has an Apexi Worldsport II exhaust system with a new Honda OEM catalytic converter and oxygen sensor. Other performance modifications include a front disc brake upgrade (Powerslot rotors and Hawk HP pads) and rear disc brake conversion from a 98 integra GSR (’98 Civics come stock with rear drum brakes). Suspension upgrades include installation of Tokico Illumina gas 5-way adjustable shocks and Ground Control Coilover Sleeves (allowing you to adjust the ride height). Password JDM front (3-point) and rear strut bars increase the rigidity of the chassis and a rear Honda Civic SI sway bar. Wheels are 16" Rota Circuit-8s in gunmetal with absolutely no curbage. Tires are Falken Azenis RT-615 with only 2,500 miles on them.
As far as the exterior the side skirts have been color matched to the car, authentic JDM CTR front lip and CTR front grille, and an actual BMW M3 rear trunk spoiler. Has aftermarket black housing headlights with PIAA halogen bulbs, JDM-type amber foglights, and rear taillights that were switched to 99-00 clear taillights.
As far as audio is concerned the car has a Pioneer Premier DEH-980BT (with Bluetooth) deck and IPod capabilities driving Infinity 2 ways in both doors and the rear deck and assist from an Alpine amp driving an awesome JL Audio 10W3v3 subwoofer. Interior is further enhanced by an authentic CTR shift boot and fake Type-R ****.
Other special upgrades include JDM Password hydraulic hood lifts, console storage tray and shift CTR boot, and Benen tow hooks (just for looks). I will also include 4 Honda OEM “steelies” with studded snow tires (nothing special). Some standard Honda features include an auto alarm, power door locks and windows, moonroof , A/C and two remote key fobs.
This Honda has been tastefully customized and meticulously maintained and is ready for someone to simply enjoy as is or take to the next level (engine mod’s). Price- $5,500obo.
