Icon2 More comfortable seats

My mother-in-law has a 05 Civic coupe. She hates the seats if she has to travel more than a few hours. Is there anything that will bolt in with little or no fabrication?

Both of those seats require drilling in order to be correctly installed

And I quantify that as "little to no fabrication".

Drilling != fabrication.

I don't know about the other guys who have swapped SI seats in. They hold and support you nice. But they get very uncomfortable after about 2 hours of straight driving. Plus when it is cold out, the seats get even harder. I would say your safest bet for the most comfortable seat is the stock one. She probably shouldn't have bought the car if she didn't find the seats comfortable.

it's good to know I'm not the only one with the facts straight.

if this is for your mom, wouldnt a seat that is smaller be more uncofortable? and if i recall correctly rsx seats and ep seats are stiffer and hold your body better when driving hard?

Check the 2nd post in this thread.

They're nowhere near Recaro's offerings are far as performance, durability and style go, however.

if you dont want an oem seat, you could go with corbeau, but whatever you do DO NOT BUY EBAY SEATS!!!! Bomz seats, tenzo seats, ect all have had history of breaking in the event of accidents seriously injuring the driver...

www.corbeau.com and if you dont want to spend too much money, buy rsx or ep3 seats for sure, corbeaus are awesome, but they are around 350 at least for each seat, but then again you really dont need to change your passenger seat right? also you could look into buddyclub seats, only issue i had with them is that they are fixed... but you can find buddyclubs all over online, namely also www.passwordjdm.com
