Default Rad/Turbo Fitment

ok so.. i have an EF9, and i want to boost it this summer, so half core is the way to go. anyway, my question is.. i can get 2 different sizes of rad, the longer, skinnier 42mm one..or the fatter but shorter 60mm rad.

Im going to get the Log style manifold, has anyone ran a log in their EF, what size of rad do you have?

I had the tall skinny one. I had overheating problems just like most turbod efs do. Intercooler was blocking the air that was suppose to be going thought the radiatior. I just said hell with it and ordered the full race ef ratiator. alum. and alot thicker than stock one. No issues since. worth every penny!!!!!!!!

If you go the short fat (fluidyne style rad) route you will have to buy a traction bar. This is the direction I went. The new rad however will not fit with your stock x member. This is where the fun begins, one modification leads to another to get things to fit. Before you know it youve spent lots o green. My advise to you is to keep your stock rad and vent your hood instead.
Heres my set up. It all fits.....barely.

I still had overheating probs so I vented the hood.
