Need help bad!
Alright so I went to change a valve stem seal in my car. I was going to do all the exhast valves but some stuff came up so I only did one. The car ran fine just smoked a little on startup before. Afer putting everythign back together it wont start. It cranks over, and I can smell the fuel but it doenst sound like its firing at all. I hooked the distributor back up corectly and the wires too.
Also while trying to start it I can hear the starte3r spinning, turing it over, and the accesory belts turn so it cranks over. But it will also crank over with out me having to press the clutch, which it shouldnt be doing.
As in the key way isnt in corectly? I almost did that but it wasnt going in easily so I rotated it and it slid right in. Could something have been messed up if I rotated that?
Well got it figured out, timing belt was WAY off. Instead of having the cam gears aligned at TDC they wereat BDC. Im glad nothing got seriously f-ed up, just alot of unwanted garage time in 0 degree weather.
