H22 oil leak PLS help!!!!

Default H22 oil leak PLS help!!!!

hey lude owners i drive a 94 accord coupe with an h22 swap and yesturday my car started leaking alot of oil from the oil filter area i was wonsering if this has happend to anybody here could it be the oil cooler does it have a gasket or a seal

yes it does, the spout that the oil filter screws onto actually unscrews to remove the oil cooler. Its a bitch to replace the o-ring that sandwiches between the cooler and block. It has a very loose groove it seats into and it falls out when you're trying to put the cooler back in. Try holding the oring in place with some axle grease when you are reinstalling.

Get under there with a flashlight and make sure the filter itself isnt leaking, and that the leaking isnt coming down from the back of the valve cover gasket.

yep thats right 4sure that seal always dry rots and cracks when it gets cold out side then when the engine warms up. if you can to make sure the oil pressure sensor above the cooler is also not leaking see it a couple times not as common as the o-ring but just to be safe.

I always hated where they put the oil filter because its a bitch to get to and when you're unscrewing the filter it always dumps oil all over the oil pressure check sensor, the half shaft and the flex pipe. Someday I'm going to relocated my filter.

Im having the exact same problem right now, but i cant get the bolt off of the spout b/c i dont have a socket tht size. does anyone know off the top of their head what size tht damned bolt is?

yea im having the same problem too freaking everyday seeing oil burn off smoke come out from under my car and hood ect freaking ppl telliing me that my cars smokeing and stuff idk havnt really had a goood day off to take car of it ugh mayb ill do it new yrs day
