RMS vband manifold
Well......guys surprisingly enough most of my work is non-honda now. Anyways, this is my 1st vband manifold. This style housing is really catching on and i absolutely love building them over standard flanges so hopefully I can build some honda vband stuff soon. Heres the pics...by far some of my best work.

Thats the reaction I was hoping for thanks a lot guys I really appreciate it. I have been working VERY HARD in the last 6 months perfecting my manifolds...taking a lot of time to tie up loose ends. I always say this and ill say it again, building manifolds IS NOT EASY especially to do the job right. These manifolds are 100% backpurged as well. Yes you ALWAYS want to use a gas lense no matter what. The lense is a normal size 8 lense. I forgot to add this manifold is for the 1.8T vw guys. They've been dying for a good manifold and now they got one. And we are def NOT ashamed to show close up shots of the welds I feel you deserve to see what you're getting.
To answer the ? about the headflange...I have a guy locally who does all my stuff hes the man! The flange is as thick as the exhaust studs will allow because I didnt want warpage and the vw stuff gets really hot due to the fact the exhaust side sees hardly any airflow. Thanks again guys...Im putting my integra vband manifold together here real soon I cant wait to build that.

Thx bro and ill help whoever has $ to pay for a manifold lol. These guys are honestly some of the coolest customers I've ever had and that makes it easy to do good work cuz I know they love it! As he turned the corner into the shop and saw it in person....."O MY ****IN GOD" It made it all worth it. Dont worry Redcoupe we make on pump gas what they make on race gas hehe
I knew something was going to happen on this thread mine always seem 2 for some reason lol I think its funny. The guy who said FR....who? was obviously kidding and everyone knows FR has been making these for a while, like I said, I knew he was messing around. And yes no 1 can weld better than their robot I have to even admit that and I dont like 2 lol. I can offer, what I belive, to be one of the best/highest quality hand welded manifolds for a VERY good price. Getting off track as usual tho....thanks again SD_Lurker
Btw, I used a Miller lx350 water cooled HOTNESS for most of it and a lincoln 185 as well. No diff really except for the miller kept my leg cooler lol. In my experience its not so much the welder you use, as long as it isnt ancient, but more the experience of the welder himself and the prepwork. It always shows in the end. There was VERY little dirt in any of my puddles which means I did my job preping.

looking at the inside of the collector, it is obvious you've taken a lot of time and made a lot of effort on this manifold. flange looks 5/8" thick... a bit much imo, but if that is what the customer wants, that is what they get.
The headflange is as thick as I can possibly be and still getting their hardware on it. They love it so.....enough said. Were still working on wg placement will be finishing it up wed. More pics to come soon.
I really dont know how you guys have the patience to do manifolds, I got frustrated doing my charge pipes.....I know if I even attempted there would be a pile of ss tube in the yard and a broken window in my garage. It probaly helps having the correct tools, proper training, and a hell of alot of experience.... keep up the good work
It is frustrating as hell sometimes and no one sees it cuz obviously, you're not there. There have been plenty of times where I said F'it and got up and left and I did it w this manifold and many many others. To make those tubes line up just right, not cheating angles, cleaning everything well, purging correctly, its def a lot of work. Im the most impatient SOB but I tig weld for a living...weird. Like I said b4, when I see my customers faces it makes it all worth it in the end. Thx
P.S. I spent almost 5 hrs on the collector

and full race uses orbital machines none of there manifolds are fully AU
i think lol
