Default fuel leak

fuel leaking from the fuel pressure regulator to the fuel rail. it was not leaking before, but changed alternator and needed the space so I took out the two allen bolts. went to put them back in and everything seemed fine til I started the car and fuel was spraying out the bottom of where they connected.I tried tightening the bolts and reseating them. after about 3 attempts I thought of a sealant. tried some silicone but it didnt work either. any other ideas. I am lost. and honestly about fed up with the car. its in atlanta and if someone wants to give me 3 grand for is I am almost up for the offer. 99 si with lsvtec motor.

thanks in advance for the help

I would love to give you 3 grand for you car, but instead you can go to the dealer and get a new o-ring for the regulator...prolly cost you less than 10 bucks.

I think you might be the man. it very easily could of fallen out. but no really its actually not my car I just help work on it a lot. and the guy that owns it is really busy and the only time any work gets done on it is when I come up. it was a turbo car and we have very slowly taken it back to stock. the last think to do was the exhaust and alternator. we did both this weekend and when we went to crank it and see if anything else was wrong we got fuel squirting. so after a few attempts of tightening and such it was left until my next trip up there. I will ask him to look for it and then go to the dealer. this is also something that I can buy online right? thanks again for your advice. Jon
