My timing belt is walking out help me out, H22/H2B set-up
My timing belt is walking out help me out on my H2b setup and half of it has already worn out. Now with Bseries I understand it's a washer but on the H What could be the problem, I heard it's the big balance shaft gear right behnd the crank pully. Let me know. The dude who did my manual tensioner and removed the balanceshaft belt claims he didn't **** with that. Let me know. I have real pissed because I may have to drop the motor since there is no clearance on that side.

Make sure you have everything in order, if you do and its still walking off, just repeat the steps. We have had the issue in the past, when rotating the engine by hand it would walk off. The only solution we have found was to just retension it. It can be done with the motor in the car.

The H22 doesn't have the washers the B series use, Instead we're stuck with the ugly balancer shaft belt pulley that's behind the crank pulley. Make sure it's still in place..

Even with H22's in Prelude's you have to remove an engine mount and drop the engine on the t-belt side, so it's a headache in stock form too, not just for you swap boys.
I just used two of the h22 belt guide washers (one on either side of the belt) just make a notch for the key in one of them, never had any belt issues...
I wasted 2 timing belts because they walked on me. If anyone has any information please let me know. I dont want to waste another timing belt. I followed everything on how to change a timing belt on an H22 straight from the honda manual...
Was your head milled? It's possible the head mating surfacing isn't parallel to the cam causing the cam to be slightly tilted. This is a common occurrence if the head was surfaced using the giant sanding belt method.
