HID Wiring loom
I'm about to replace a pair of non-HID headlights to a pair of 98spec HID headlights and was wondering what sort of wiring I need to do to make this conversion work. I did use "search" but couldn't find any related and was hoping if someone can help me out on this. Many thanks.
Okay, after a bit of research and went through some of the threads I still couldn't get the complete picture of the installation. Is it just the extra wire that I need to add to the connector and where do I join the extra wire to? Hoping someone can shed me some light, much appreciated.
Look at this link. Very helpfull. Pictures and everything. What problems are you running into?
The wiring diagram isn't very clear (maybe just for me) the problem that I don't understand is that I didn't know where do you connect the extra wire to... after the addition of the extra wire to the connector.
The high beam wire needs to be ran to the brown connector that plugs into the headlights. It is the middle wire(blue) on the bottom of the connector seen in this picture.
Okay, thanks a lot for the help guys. I have just taken some pictures on the progress I'm at. So, basically from pic 1
and do I cut off the white connector (which connects to the HID 9006 bulb for non-HID headlights) and then join the wire to this connector? as in pic 2
I noticed that there are two wires for the white connector and I assume the black wire is for the ground? where do I join the ground wire to? Can anyone please check if I'm on the right track before I blow anything up... Thanks a lot guys.

Yes the black is the ground wire and the other is power. I believe I wired it in with the other ground wires on the brown connector. Really you can connect it to any good ground though, you won't need to worry about floating grounds.
Thanks Spids5, I will shoot off to the auto store to get a gold spade connector. Just to double check, so I will wire the black wire to the black wire on the brown connector right? Thanks in advance.
Got the gold spade now, will proceed to connect the wires now. Will you recommend to remove the battery for this installation? Will update how I get on, thanks for your help Spids5
Okay... I can't seem to remove the white part in the brown connector. From the previous thread it says grab it in the middle and pull it out lightly. I have tried it with large amount of force... is there anything I have done it wrong preventing me pulling the white connector out?
No it just pulls out, sometimes it comes out easy other times it takes a little bit of force. If it does break it really won't hurt but it is nice to have it in. Try pulling from one side at a time to get it to come loose.
Hey Spide5, here is a quick update. Yes, you are right and it helps to pull out the white part by altering the side first. Because it is impossible to remove any gold spade that is already in the brown connector, so this is what I have done to connect the ground wire from HID 9006 into the ground wire that is already in the brown connector. See pic below.

I have finished wired the HID one already. Just want to double check if this procedure is alright, thanks :D

The gold spade connectors can be removed but you need a special tool. I cut one myself but what you did looks like it will work. Make sure you solder the wires and then protect them with electrical tape.
Okay, I have just installed one of the headlight. There are some problems... The signal light is not working (also it is signalling at a really fast pace compared to normal) and the High beam H1 is not working too but the rest is working fine. Any idea on this or the headlights are broken? :O
Did you have this problem before? To me it sounds like the fuse is blown on your high beam and a bulb is burned out for the signal. Either the front or rear being burned out will make it blimp faster than normal.
No, I haven't had this problem before, because I just got this pair of HIDs. I believed it cames from a damaged vehicle but the headlights itself is in good condition. Do you think I should go ahead and install the other headlight to compare them?
Under the drivers side of the dash I believe. If it is not there it is in the fuse box in the engine bay. Since you just got the headlights I would put money on the bulbs just being burnt out.
Just a quick update Spids5, signal light is working fine now (you were right as it was burnt, so I switch over from my non-HID headlights to the HID ones) Sorry, just before it was the city light that was not working not the high beam H1 as high beam is working just fine. The problem I'm having now is that I have burnt 3 city light bulbs. This happens immediately as I switch on the lights. Is it because of the high voltage that is going through? Fuse?
