Well, I was driving to a club tonight...and then all of a sudden my clutch went out in my hybrid. I killed it at first...didn't really know WTF was going on. The whole car was shaking and the clutch just didn't want to grab.

SUCKS! I'm so broke right now...and this happens. I'll have to start daily driving the ITR for now.

Okay, so now I need some advice. I always told myself if this ever happened I would just do everything (clutch, flywheel, FD, LSD) and be done with it. Well, I got to thinking...couldn't I just buy an ITR or JDM ITR (Spoon tranny) complete...then sell my GSR tranny and come out of this pretty good???

Comments/opinions needed.

1) How much is my GSR tranny worth?
2) How much can I get a complete USDM ITR tranny for?
3) How much can I get a complete JDM ITR or Spoon tranny for?

Any help would be appreciated guys. I'm very depressed right now.

 

the new tranny would take care of your lsd and fd. but its probably not going to come with a clutch and flywheel.

and gsr trannys are going for between 600-800.

Yes, you would take care of the LSD and FD issue, but would still need the clutch and flywheel. Also I heard the SPOON trannys are nice, but there on back order. Maybe it was the USDM ITR trannys that were on backorder?!?
