Default Greddy header for Type R?

Does anyone have one of these on thier R? How are they?I ordered a Comptech header but due to some problems with the St Andre I will be canceling the order. So now I need a header that is CARB legal. Something to hold me over for the next two years until I get my Spoon header.

Stick with the stock one and then get the Spoon header. You'd be spending money you wouldn't have to be spending. Unless you have absolutely no header, your stock one should "hold over" fine. GReddy headers tend to be low quality compared to the rest of the B series market (TODA, Spoon, Mugen etc, but for the price range, JDM 4-1 or Comptech should be adequate), they should stick to exhausts. Don't go to Red Lobster for a steak.

heh.

difference in opinion...but...

i wouldnt be a spoon header nor a fork header even.

If i was going to blow all that cash on a header i would bother myself with a hytech header.

Then again, if i wanted good gains, and wasnt worried about that 1-3 whp peak difference, i'd pick a cheap yet good contender like the jdm header or the dc jdm header if i wasnt worried about clearance.

Comptech header...i read somewhere about patent violation with the design of the header...

anyhow when looking to go fast, dont fall into the riceboy syndrome of "y0 he got mad hp .... 215 whp! theres not way you gonna beat him since you only got 193 whp" ....

its not about the peak, its about overall gains...
