thats everywhere yo.... people take vins off there dash because its easy to call the dealer with the vin and have a key made.. and people who paint there vehicles dont put them back often.... but 97dx and ebp is shaddy

all u gotta do is check the vin on the wall to the title they match ur good

 

You need more than just a vin to get a key cut for a car. Proof of ownership, license, insurance are what we at subaru require in order to cut a new key.


More importantly the OP needs to find this kid and get his money back, or start crackin skulls. It's obvious this situation won't be resolved unless there is a little "motivation"

 

i worked at zimbrick acura of middleton /madison people know people there ..our parts guy has made keys to people with a vin ritten on a peice of paper its bad the right was is proof of owner ship .. i took my vin off because my car was almost stolen twice...

 

i really don't even know why your posting on here (thejunbuilt) you still owe me a half shaft,my Hx's, my back seats and more **** that I can't even think off that cav was a piece of **** that I had to junk so don't come in here talking about honesty and **** i had to pay my friend 300 for those damn HX's you never gave me of my old EF i was trying to be a good guy and let you find rims so I you could take the car! but bussines is bussines and the fact is that you still owe me!

 

once again shady wisconsin ppl LOL. U never take the dash or door vins off even if the car gets painted u replace it, if u get pulled over here in chicago with no door or dash vin ur *** is busted. u could usually tell cuz either of those vins looks shady and the engine bay vin will look tampered/check for grinded spot welds and bondo. Also take off the wiper grille and check behind the firewall...trust me i been got before and it sucks because if u get caught with one of these cars its basically a stolen car with a different vin tags...

 

hey im not tryin to scam anyone ... half shaft is still here along with the seats....... i gave u a b16 swap and a running eg with jdm console wheels in dash tv.... and a 1997 drop top cavaliver;.. for a EF with rust a broken lip trans wasnt even bolted to the mount...thats a deal to anyone i wanted a project.so im not complainin i called and ur number was changed so please dont call me a scammer...because thats alota stuff i gave u for a ef... and i even said on one of ur threads hey i got ur seats and half shaft.. u changed ur number and .. told me months later u got it taken car of... im not tryin to fight with you ..u are good guy but please dont smash me when i didnt you
