Icon6 B18C into an 88 crx! *trouble*

ok so i had a jdm b16 obd0... i pulled it out and put in my jdm gsr motor already (obd1)... i need help with the hoses TPS cause there's one on the firewall and there's one on the gsr manifold and the map sensor is also right next to it! sO, basically how do i get those two connected to my mani?! and its a tight fit should i get a different manifold cause its a super tight fit! anny help would be greatly appreciated! btw my rex is an 88 Crx dx! thanx in advance

The TPS is always ALWAYS on the throttlebody.

Which map sensor you use is not important. Both will work, but directly on the manifold will be cleaner looking and better functioning.

I ran into the same problem you did, but someone on here suggested flipping the braket for the fuel filter so the fuel lines will be out of the way of the throttle body. I did that and everything fits nicely now, including the stock GSR intake tube.

The biggest issue is the wall bracket for the fuel line, which is about to touch the TPS on the stock GSR manifold. You can do the fuel filter bracket flipping as mentioned above and cut off that bracket, or just saw off a section of it at the bend to clear the TPS. I have a fuel line with that bracket trimmed off to clear the TPS if you need it. I don't have any use for it.

You can get another manifold, but you will need the correct ECU for that manifold.

It will function the same either way. It still gets the same vacuum source.

Integra heater hose has a bend that you can use for the heater core to block. Works for me numerous times.

what seems to be the problem here? your wires are too short or the connector is wrong? did you do the obd1 conversion or are you running this on obd0, if the connectors are obd1 what you will need are obd1 pigtails from a junk obd1 harness, depin/repin the connectors as well as possibly extend them.

yeah basically i'm using my obd0 harness still and i dont know how to connect those two.. yeah they're too short and they're obd0 pigtails.. so i guess i'll just have to runn the extend the wires and get the pigtails! do u know how the wires go into the pigtail? like what colors go where!? thanks a lot btw!! really appreciate it!

do a search on how to depin, im sure theres a thread on it somewhere on here, the first time may be a bit difficult but after that you will get the hang of it. the other option is to cut, solder, heatshrink it to the new pigtail, which may be better off because you have to extend it anyways...the colours, i cant remember off the top of my head but grab the new ones, i think they may be the same...but get the new ones and we can go from there.

get a photobucket account, then upload your pics there and use the link they provide to post a pic, out of the four links they provide its the one at the bottom.

im still confused about your vacuum hose to the tps....post that pic and we an see what your talking about.

thanks for the help with posting the pic!! and the hoses on here i dont know where they'd go on the obd1 gsr mani and i also got the pigtails that i was talking about.. i think the hoses are one being an inlet and the other being an outlet(but not to sure) and yea i dont know how to run them or let alone where they'd even go!

first of all thats a map sensor not a tps. now i think the gsr has a map sensor on the intake, you can choose to use whichever one is more convenient. some use the one on the intake because it cleans up the engine bay, in your case im sure it will cause more confusion, so if your using that one, then basically those two hoses have to be plugged into the intake somewhere, find a vacuum source and tap into it with a y or t fitting if you have to, can be found at any auto parts store.

basically you had the b16 in there already the od1 gsr will just have fewer vacuum sources thats all.

NP, good luck and i guess it may be easy to mix up because the gsr one is on the TB, also props on doing your own swap.
