i have a 95 honda accord lx with the f22 (non v-tec) and my motor runs really really strong it is well taken,is it worth it in the end (speed wise)to build the f22 or would it be more worth it to swap it out for a h22.
buy a weekend at skip barber racing school. 100x better money spent.
these kinds of posts.... "what should I do with my money... buy **** or pay for a prostitute?"
DO WHAT YOU WANT. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE, THEN DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.
I would say... swap in a d17. that will leave plenty of room under the hood for the women.
....in all seriousness, you sound like you need to just turbo your car.

look the only reason i asked is cause my brother has a 99 prelude SH and he only takes me by less than a car legnth so obviously the f22 is a strong motor so i was just looking for some advice, are you telling me you have never asked for some ones opion.
no its not so much that, its more that this question is asked almost everday. and everyone is going to tell you something different. some will say the h22 and some will say the f22. it depends who you talk to and what you want and all that jazz.
yeahh don't sweat it. theres a ton of infromation on this site about the swap vs building the engine. it really does depend on how much you want to spend, and the gains. Personally.. i love the kick of a turbo, and the f22 is cheaper to build for a turbo vs the h22. but its all up to what you want and the research you do.
Yeah. Flip a coin I suppose. Should look at some BPU parts and see if and how much of price difference there is. Of course cost of overall price to swap and the weight. Im sure its not as bad as one in a HB, but just something else to consider.

all right thanks i will do the research my self,i gotta a stupid question if i wanted to put the f22 (v-tec) head on my (non v-tec) block what other parts would i need to get besides the head?
the ecu for the v-tec and more stuff im sure. but really the gains arent worth it. The
v-tec f22b1 is more for fuel economy and saving u gas. Its not gonna kick in and slam u into ur seat

as for your questions.. try looking in the accord FAQs.. lots and lots of good info in there. and the head swap question is in there too! good luck and happy reading!
...of course its just because the fuel maps are way off and vtec is at 5200
Well there is a few options:
2000$ H22 swap. Which would be reliable and strong.
2000$ Boost and some other goodies, clutch, lsd. ( on the F22 )
2000$ bisi cam, good valvetrain, clutch, lsd, higher compression pistons.
Do some research, and think about driveablity and down time, then plan, then buy your parts.
