Default EF gas tank question

i have a crx hf with the stock fuel tank and a 255 walbro fuel pump .. i am not going to be running boost and i dont need that much fuel going to stock injectors. now i have 2 ideas that might work that are about the same price ..

1) buy a blox fuel pressure regulator

2) go to a junk yard and just yank a fuel tank and pump out of a ef sedan because thats all they have

if i go with the first one will that cause any problems that the fuel pump is trying to send that much gas to the stock rail and injectors

if i go with the second one, are all ef gas tanks interchangeable?

thank you for your help in advance

if you are running your factory fuel pressure regulator then you're not dumping any more fuel into your car then with a factory fuel pump. even though the walbro is capable of pumping more, your stock regulator doesn't let it. that is why it is called a regulator, it regulates the amount of fuel that goes into your motor. the only way for you to get more fuel in your motor is to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. but since that's not something you want to do, then just leave everything as it is and be content with the fact that you have a newer fuel pump in your car rather than a 20 yr old one.

A pump is a pump, the regulator makes the change in pressure to the injectors.
