I need a master Cylinder for my 94 Del Sol vtec si. I will be hunting the salvage yards to find one soon but Del Sols are rare in my town. I think that a crx Master cylinder will fit? Can anyone confirm this? What other models can i grab a master cylinder from that will work without a problem? Civics?
Does it have to be same year?

Which is it? A Del Sol Vtec (B16A3) or a Del Sol Si (D16Z6)? And brake or clutch?

Hmm?

My car is a SOHC Vtec.
I thought it was an si cause it has disk brakes in the rear. It's not an si?
Was there a DOHC version of the del sol?
I just bought this car and dont know much about this model. My last one was a Civic EX.

The master cylinder For the brakes is what i am needing.

Your probably right about the seals. Good call.

Its an Si, the S had rear drums, SOHC non vtec, the Si had rear discs SOHC vtec.

Yes, the Del Sol Vtec, which is quite possibly the most confusing trim designation honda could have come up with. It was only available from '94 - '97, the S and Si were both available in '93

The reason it matters is that the Si probably uses a 13/16s MC while the Vtec use most likely uses a 7/8s or 15/16s MC

Well since the gasket topic came up i will definitely get it at AutoZone or some place re-manufactured instead of at a salvage. Good to know i don't have to get it from Honda.
Any one know any brands to avoid in after market? I doubt Auto Zone will have OEM.

I recommend A1 Cardone or Raybestos remanufactured hydraulic brake parts.
