Default anti-lag 2 step on stock pistons

I was wanting to know if using my anti-lag (spark cut) ok on stock pistons.I want to use it on my stock engine for like 8psi launches.I just dont want it to blow my ring lands like the fuel cut does

How does the fuel cut destroy ringlands? The anti-lag pushes the combustion event into the exhaust port and beyond so I dont know how that affects the pistons, if anything I would think your exhaust valves and guides would be the ones that suffer.

Anti lag converts (temporarily) your internal combustion engine to an external combustion engine... think about it.

i know that the launch control on alot of systems is a fuel cut. but anti-lag you richen the fuel and cut the spark.Fuel cut will lean out and blow off your ring lands. I just wanting to know if stock piston can handle anti-lag.

Think about this...

If fuel is cut off completely, what is being burnt? What combustion is occurring?

None and none.

You're not hurting anything with a fuel cut.

it will destroy a turbo well before a ringland, although i know a guy that took a chunk out of his head launching off antilag because it went lean

To answer in simplest forms, I've had 2 stock 150k+ motors on anti-lag without issues lol building about 10-12 psi. And using it far more than intended

well the problem is that fuel sprays on and off with fuel cut, one spark with fuel the next spark with half fuel
I WILL BE USING IGNITION CUT

I have never, ever experienced a customer's car break a ringland by having a fuel cut rev limit/two-step.

Ever.

You will like the ignition cut much better anyway, especially if you like to make people in the area think that a drive by is occuring

I have seen some broke ring land from hitting rev limiter. Isn't that a fuel cut (rev limiter) on hondata ectune etc.

NepTune has Fuel and Ignition Cut for the limiter, or any combination of the two, not sure about the other systems.

also you could play with the timing a bit... but only one time have i witnessed someone breaking something off antilag... but thinking about it, we dont know if it happened off antilag, and after launching.. but long story short, he ran lean and took a bunch of chunks out of the head... 800hp build though, and i wont say who tuned it...

a friend had a 355whp car that he built to play around with on the street. he got it tuned with b16 cams and put gsr cams in like a week after getting it tuned. and because of the cam profiles being different i guess. the antilag got about twice as loud and shot flames like the fast and the furious and everything. only they werent color matched to the car lol. the people at taco-bell got a kick out of it.
