say i grab 15x6.5 rims with a +40 offset will that fit my '98 civic coupe? what size tires will i need? thanks for your time and help
I think so. You can use either 195/55-15 or 205/50-15.
For a longer-lasting but nicely-performing daily driver type summer tire, especially for rain use, I recommend the Yokohama S.drive, and I'd get it in 195/55-15 (it's cheaper in that size than 205/50). If you like screaming around mountain roads and/or you autocross, so you want great grip (especially in dry weather) and you don't care as much about how long the tires last, I recommend the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec in 195/55-15.
