New to the site....new to Honda. I'm looking at a 2005 Honda Civic DX Sedan (with air, CD, spoiler) - she's look'n good...great mileage...fabulous spoiler...I'm debating an extended warranty on her (though I'll likely do it up) any advice/heads up on any issues on the 05' Civic?

 

The 7th gens seem to have continually improved in build quality/reliability as the model years went on, so 2005 is a pretty safe bet. There's not a whole lot of issues with this car. Listed below are common issues which may occur:

MAJOR:
-Auto transmission failure
-Head gasket failure

MINOR:
-Window regulators
-Lower Control Arm Compliance bushings
-Gas door release failure (www.fueldoorfix.com)

That's really all I can think of.
