question about egr valve

Default question about egr valve

my question is how long should it take for the egr to code i have a 93 del sol si with a h22a1 and a usdm p13 ecu so everthing is stock the only thing not wired in is the egr valve so i want to check codes just to see whats going on and it dosent throw a check engine light. i have not driven the car i will just start it up and let it idle any info or help will help

The EGR valve is ecu activated by using a vacuum solenoid.

The ecu is not going to command any EGR movement without a load on the engine.

How I would delete it is fab a block-off plate to put in between the IM and EGR valve.

This way the ECU will see the EGR moving and think it is OK. However the egr is not flowing any exhaust into the IM.

if its stock just leave it there. why would you wanna remove it? it doesnt do any harm or take away any power.
