Default question about egr valve

my question is how long should it take for the egr to code i have a 93 del sol si with a h22a1 and a usdm p13 ecu so everthing is stock the only thing not wired in is the egr valve so i want to check codes just to see whats going on and it dosent throw a check engine light. i have not driven the car i will just start it up and let it idle any info or help will help

Im not exactly sure what your asking? but if you haven't driven the car then it might not throw the egr code. the car doesnt use egr at idle, WOT, or if the engine is not warmed up yet....so if it hasnt been driven it might not recognize theres a problem yet

if there is an open in the circuit the cel should come on right away. regardless of egr lift and flow.

the H22 doesn't even have a EGR. the 90's VTEC engines didnt have EGR's because thats what VTEC helped with. your Z6 in your Si wouldnt have an EGR either.

the hell it doesnt have an egr valve.

i had an h2b integra, obviosly a h22 motor, it had an egr valve on the intake manifold.

i looked at a pic and dont see it. where do the tubes for it run??? i have always seen them off the header and i dont see any on the H22.

they do not have tubes. the passages are built into the intake manifold and head from the exhaust side.

what the hell are you talking about h22's defiantly have a egr valve anyways, also why r u mentioning a z6 motor when i wrote i had swapped the 93 si to a h22

i said they didnt because i havent seen them. most VTEC engines dont have them and didnt realize the H22 did. you 93 Si came with a Z6 factory correct? it didnt have an egr correct?
