The Mugens and Comptech, dont they use the stock intake tube? isnt that the why you get an intake in the first place? for faster air flow like an AEM, Weapon R, Fugita or something? The stock intake tube has all kinds or wrinkes and which slows down air speed, right?
Something tells me that the Mugen and Comptech is just for show? To say look at what i have type of deal?
When my brother got his civic tuned at Church in Long Beach. Church added a regualr L shaped 3 inch intake with a velocity stack and he said its the best you can do to a car. he ran it again and there was a 10Hp difference. smooth big and long, all you need he said.

no, the Mugen and the Comptech have shown significant gains

you can also use a samco hose and a velocity stack as well

The stock intake tube is smooth on the inside surface.

Inside of the ITR intake tube is smooth on mine?

Its all in how the air is brought/ drawn in... and you cant beat the mugen it does its job perfectly.

i have a comptech and i love it, and the newer comptech's don't have any logos on them, they almost look like a stock box so its even better,

^^ I saw a dyno chart a few years ago of an ARC showing NO gains and then losing power up top.

Once you go Mugen all the rest are all just noise makers.

Comptech is chioce #2.

That exact ARC intake in that picture, on a different motor lost 10hp compared to a ebay intake.

from what i understand the only gains you get from the arc chamber is that you get better throttle response.

Thats what I had on my last teg and I could feel a significant difference.
Acceleration, Throttle response, didn't rob my gas either.

no offense, but you won't feel a significant difference from any intake. you might hear a difference and feel better throttle response, but thats about it.
