Default 2003 Accord EX cam positing sensor code and shifter locked in park

On my 2003 Accord Ex Vtec 4cyliner the check engine light came on and will not let me get out of park. I have to start it in neutral. The code is for the Cam shaft positing sensor but how does the not being able to get it out of park relate? Where is the sensor located?

Do the brake lights work? It's probably just a coincidence that both of those happened at the same time.
The cam sensor is obviously at the end of the camshaft. It's very rare for those to fail. What's the P code?

probably is a intermittent failure because i had an accord with the same problem and spend like 30 minutes trouble shooting and did not find out any problem, about the shifter like ross 2.0 said u may need to replace if the brake lights if there are out
