Icon6 Toyo T1R vs Yokohama S drive.

I can't make up my mind between these two tires. I have to purchase a new set next week and I'm still unsure.

Priority in order of importance within the UHP Summer tires (looking for good traction on 300WHP FWD) is Price > Wear > Weight

Toyo's are rated at 280AAA
Yoko's are rated at 300AAA

both have very similar weights and will be mounted on 8.5" width rim.

I really would like to go with 255/35/19 which automatically puts the yoko's out of the question as they dont come in that size. However, price is the sad part here. $220 for 255/35 toyo's vs $170 for 245/35 for the yoko's.

T1R's have been around for a while and are known for having mushy sidewalls and good traction. the S drive's are rather new but have had nothing but great reviews.

brand wise my heart is set on S drive's , size wise my heart is set on T1r's. which should i get ??? shell out extra $200 for extra 10mm or save the dough and stick with 245 ?

WWHTD ?

8. This is honda-tech.com, a place for sharing information about Honda and Acura cars. This isn't the place for information about wheels and tires for your grandmother's Buick or your son's Mustang; there are other websites that specialize in those cars, where people will have more specific expertise with those cars than here.
