Default Anyone have experience with filled trim?

I bought my car back in July, its a 92 cx hatch. Whoever did the body work and repainted this I would say did a horrible job. They filled in where the trim is supposed to be on the fenders, doors and quarter panels. It is cracking horribly and is just a plain horrible paint job so I want to repaint it sometime very soon and need to do some prep work before I take it to get it painted. My plans are to remove all the putty in the trim like a lot of people do but I have no idea how to go about starting to get all that putty out. Heres some pics, I need some advice.

Hammer, chisel and a da sander with some 80 grit maybe even 36 or 40 to move it quick. Make sure you know where the filler is before you just start hammering away though. Have some patiants and you'll get it done.

That's a peice of cake, make sure it's filler thought because like mines it could be welded on as well with the tips being filled only. Ill show you a pic so you can have an idea of what i did to remove mines.

how it looked...

i used this needle nose and used the pliers as if it was a hammer and beat it in not too hard but enough for the filler to crack or the welds to pop out

What i meant by the tips being filler, you can see on the end of this one it's got the filler at the end which was easy to just hammer out like i'd been doing. I guess they just filler the tips and weld the rest to close the gaps.

Wallah what it looks like now, im pleased with it cuz i can grind out the weld spots easily and filler the whole from rust. Im just gonna buy new dorrs from the junk yard and new fenders.

hoped this helped somewhat. Any questions you can Pm me.
