I have 2 gauges in my 2001 integra, the light on them turns on when i turn on the running lights, but sometimes the lights don't switch on. I will be driving down the road and one or the other or both will randomly turn on as im driving but once they light up they don't go back off no matter how long im driving around as long as the lights are still on. I know nothing about electrical systems and it was done when i bought the car. what could be causing it to not turn on everytime i turn on the lights? and how can i fix it?

 

Sounds like you have a bad connection. Try reaching the wires going to the guages and while the lights are on move the wires around and see if they go on and off...
