Default 2002 Accord tranny probelms

My 2002 Honda Accord with 104k started acting funny over the last few days. On lower speeds and from a dead stop when i depress the gas pedal there is a delay and a jerk. Now my check engine light has come on and three codes have come up that say the torque converter is not engaging right, the gear ratio is off, and their is a slip in the solenoid. Does it sound like my transmission is going out or could it be something else? If so what how much will it cost to fix and what are my options?

Your tranny is toast. Get a honda or howard replacement tranny. $1500-$3500

is it a 4 cyl or v6?, look into the shift solenoids first.

mines acted up too. d4 was blinking and transmission never really grabbed the gears. they said to replace the solenoids which were $200 each. i just went 5spd instead.

no need to waste your time with the solenoids jerk = slipping and that = time for new clutch packs. 98-02 accords have really shittay transmissions in both the I4 and V6 autos......

I have the same problem with my tranny in my accord(4cyl). I went honda and they only fixed 98-01 accords for free. Us 02s are screwed. 5spd tranny swap is cheaper.
