Default help please my 91 civic dx sedan with d15b sohc vtec

Someone suggested I move my post over here, hopefully you guys can help...
I purchased the car 2 years ago and had this engine put in, the thing is the guy who did it left the original ecu for the car aswell as the wiring harness. Lately my check engine light keeps coming on after driving it for a couple of miles sometimes a little more and once it does and I put it on park or neutral it sounds like im stepping on the gas when my foot isn't even touching the pedal. Also once its in park with the check engine light is still on I can't take it out of park unless I turn the car off and the problem is gone again for a couple miles maybe. Sometimes the light will go off after I keep driving it and i can put it in neutral or park just fine. Nobody has been able to fix it for me because that cant figure out whats wrong with it. Some mechanics have told me its the distributor but I'm having a hard time finding the distributor to match it, they say its because my wiring is not for that engine that its the original one the car came with. Could you guys please help me out here, this has been pain in the neck!

The revving could be the IACV. It's on the back of the intake manifold and just needs to be clean.

The 92-95 distributors are the same as the one on the D15B VTEC.

Next time the CEL comes on, try to get the code ASAP. I had something similar but I forgot what it was.
