Default I adjusted my pedals for better heel-toe...

I have stock pedals, but I wanted to try and improve their position for heel-toe'ing, so I pulled the seat out and spent the last 2 hours contorted in the footwell. I thought I could take the pedal out and hold it in the vice on the workbanch and bend it a little, but I couldn't get it out.

I removed the cotter pin, and tried sliding it out, but there were too many obstructions. And I couldn't figure out how to release the throttle cable. So, I put it all back together and started pulling on it by hand.

I think I got the left/right position setup, but in the process I pulled it further up off the floor, and now the brake pedal depresses further than the gas pedal.

I'll work some more on it tomorrow.

Heel and Toe is a bit of a misnomer.
You basicly need to roll your right foot to just blip (or hold down) the gas pedal.

Funny, since I've had some Mugen pedals for the better part of at least half a year ... which I'm just too lazy to install.

Thanks Yoshi,
But by then I should be all set except for maybe an oil and filter change.

haha ... I need to get some fresh Sparco/Pumas, since I wear them all the time now!
Been practicing LFB and H/T
(Left Foot Braking AND Heel/Toeing ... esp. with a 6.8 lb flywheel, blipped down from 5th to 1st the other day pulling into National Airport just for the fun of it!!)

Well, now that you mention it it might have only been 2nd,
but then again, that's why you need to rev-match.

Franky, I don't remember ... mostly because as soon a I made the right hand turn from the G W Parlway into the airport I saw a police car ... so I went into noise abatement mode.

they do not fit very well, I used to have them on my R. But I took them out and I can still do good heel & toe without them. The stock on is a bit harder to do in the beginning, but once I adapted to it, it's work like magic.

Really any pedals would work, 25 to 175 dollars (*cough* MUGEN! ). I really think heel-toe depends on the shoes, Simpson racing shoes would definitely leave more "room" for action.

I wish I had that much spare time to adjust everything so precisely. I commend the effort! But I'm busy sitting on my *** and bitching on Honda-tech.

I just got me some sparco carbon fiber ones and i can't get em in. You have to drill them and on the gas pedal it just drills into the thing that holds the pedal and i will probably try again a lil later unless anyone has any ideas for me.

That sounds like a lot of work when a $20 set of pedal covers will work just fine.

skateboard grip tape:$5
DIY pedals that work great: priceless

I love my "R00gen" pedal set

I have a $15 pedal kit, but you don't need any of that. I was able to bend my gas and brake closer together by hand. Moved them about an inch closer together in about 12 seconds. Of course, I am prolly stronger than joo! LOL

You can do that, or you can heel-toe or you can toe-heel, whatever your pref is.....my cheap azzed OBX pedals work fine, so do stock though....

heel-toe was a struggle for me until watching option 2 and noticing that some of the drivers use zip ties with sand paper. I put It on my gas pedal becuase sometimes its hard for me to find my gas pedal

and if someone makes fun of you, you can tell em its JDM....

Yes. I can heel and toe to first gear going 20-30mph smoothly and fairly consistently. If you match revs correctly it has no choice but to go in.
